Could sugar cravings be a clue to easing Parkinson's?

NCT ID NCT05998772

Summary

This study is trying to understand why many people with Parkinson's disease crave sugary foods. Researchers will give 50 participants a sugary drink or a placebo drink on different days to see how it affects their blood sugar, insulin levels, and Parkinson's symptoms like movement and thinking. The goal is to learn if sugar intake is linked to symptom changes, which could inform future dietary advice.
