First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at over 1,000 people with drug-resistant partial epilepsy to find out if dangerous drops in oxygen during seizures can predict sudden unexpected death (SUDEP). Researchers monitored patients in a hospital setting to track these oxygen dips and other risk factors. The goal is to better understand who is at highest risk so that prevention strategies can be developed in the future.
