First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested a new type of prosthetic socket (called a subischial socket) in 84 adults with a leg amputation who have limited mobility. The goal was to see if this socket improves comfort, how long it can be worn, and overall quality of life compared to the standard socket. Participants used both sockets and reported their experiences.
