First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether using bedside ultrasound to guide suctioning of the throat area can make the procedure safer and more effective for patients on breathing machines. About 321 ICU patients expected to need a breathing tube for at least 72 hours will take part. The goal is to reduce lung infections and airway injuries by making suctioning more precise.
