Summary
This study aims to understand if an infection in the healing stump after a traumatic amputation makes long-term pain more likely. Researchers will follow 150 recent amputation patients for six months, tracking infections and pain levels. The goal is to learn whether preventing or quickly treating infections could help reduce persistent pain and improve recovery.
