Study probes why black professionals get worse sleep than white peers
NCT ID NCT03389828
Summary
This study aimed to understand why Black professionals tend to have shorter, poorer quality sleep than their White counterparts, which can lead to serious health problems. Researchers held focus groups with over 260 employed Black and White adults in North Carolina and Washington, D.C., to discuss their workdays and sleep habits. The goal was to listen to personal experiences and identify social or workplace factors that might explain these racial differences in sleep health.
