NCT ID NCT03286569
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special dental appliance that expands the upper jaw can also encourage the lower jaw to grow forward in children aged 9-11 with a deep overbite. Sixty kids will receive either an active or inactive expander and have their jaw measured with 3D X-rays before and after 9 months. The goal is to see if this simple device can reduce the need for more complex treatments later.
