Scientists hunt for hidden clues in Kids' genes after severe infections

NCT ID NCT07111793

Summary

This study aims to understand why some children get very sick from bacterial infections while others do not. Researchers will look at the genes, immune systems, and long-term health of over 1,400 children in France who were previously hospitalized with severe infections. The goal is to find patterns that might explain a child's susceptibility, which could lead to better future prevention or care.
