First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether a combined approach of stricter enforcement and staff training can reduce marijuana sales to obviously-intoxicated customers in Oregon. Researchers will send actors pretending to be drunk to marijuana stores and nearby alcohol sellers to see if they are refused service. The goal is to lower the risk of impaired driving and other harms from mixing marijuana and alcohol.
