Scientists probe Superbug's secret weapons
NCT ID NCT07469436
Summary
This study aims to understand how Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a dangerous bacteria that causes hospital infections, becomes resistant to multiple antibiotics. Researchers will examine 80 bacterial samples from patients to see how a specific gene and the bacteria's ability to form protective slime layers (biofilms) work together. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help develop better treatments in the future, but this study does not test any new treatments on people.
