First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding prochlorperazine or olanzapine to standard anti-nausea medication (netupitant/palonosetron and dexamethasone) could better control nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. Over 1,300 women who had not had chemotherapy before and were scheduled to receive certain drugs (doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide, or carboplatin) took part. The goal was to see if the extra drugs improved nausea ratings during the first two treatment cycles.
