Scientists track appetite hormones after sleeve gastrectomy

NCT ID NCT07636239

First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026

Summary

This study follows 40 adults who recently had laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy to see how their eating behaviors, nutrition, and appetite-regulating hormones (ghrelin, GLP-1, PYY) change over 6 months. Participants will complete surveys and provide blood samples and diet records at the start and after 6 months. The goal is to better understand the body's response to surgery, not to test a new treatment.
