Can a skin scan reveal what your toddler eats?

NCT ID NCT05869760

Summary

This study aims to understand how nutrients called carotenoids, found in colorful fruits and vegetables, relate to vision development in infants and toddlers. Researchers will follow 208 healthy children, checking their diet, taking a small blood sample, measuring carotenoid levels in their skin with a light device, and testing their vision over two years. The goal is to see if a simple skin scan can be a reliable way to measure a child's intake of these important nutrients.
