Summary

This study aimed to understand the quality of life of Black girls in Richmond, Virginia, by focusing on their strengths and community assets instead of just their problems. Researchers surveyed and interviewed 339 Black girls aged 12-17, their parents, and young adult women to learn about their experiences, resilience, and support systems. The goal was to create a more positive and accurate report on their lives to help guide better community support.
