Scientists probe Babies' immune systems for diabetes clues

Summary
This study aims to understand why some babies develop type 1 diabetes before age two, which is very rare and aggressive. Researchers will compare these babies to children with more typical diabetes onset and to healthy children. By studying their immune systems, genes, and family history, they hope to discover what goes wrong early in life, which could lead to future ways to delay or prevent type 1 diabetes for people of all ages.
