Summary
This completed study tested whether adding cognitive training and rhythmic auditory stimulation to treadmill walking improves walking automaticity, executive function, and dual-task coordination in people with chronic stroke. Eighty participants were assigned to one of four groups: combined training (treadmill + cognitive task + rhythmic sounds), cognitive treadmill training, rhythmic treadmill training, or treadmill walking alone. The goal was to see which approach best helps stroke survivors walk and think at the same time.
