Scientists test if thinking too hard about walking hampers stroke recovery
NCT ID NCT06034119
Summary
This study aimed to understand the best way to help people walk better after a stroke. Researchers compared two methods: consciously trying to correct steps using feedback, versus letting the body adapt automatically on a special treadmill. They measured muscle activity in 44 participants to see which method helps muscles work more naturally.
