Race against time: new hope for 'Mild' strokes that steal independence

Summary
This trial is testing if a clot-busting drug called tenecteplase can help people who have a mild but disabling stroke caused by a major blood clot, but who arrive for treatment 4.5 to 24 hours after symptoms begin. It will compare the drug against standard antiplatelet therapy in 864 patients to see which leads to better recovery and independence 90 days later. The goal is to find an effective treatment for a group of patients who currently have very limited options.
