Direct brain injection trial aims to stop stroke disability

Summary
This study is testing whether delivering a clot-busting drug directly into a blocked brain artery can help people recover better from a specific type of stroke. It will involve about 488 adults who have had a stroke caused by a blockage in a medium-sized brain vessel within the last 24 hours. Researchers will compare the standard medical care to standard care plus this direct-delivery drug to see which leads to less disability 90 days later.
