New stroke treatment aims to boost recovery when clot removal Isn't perfect

NCT ID NCT07471282

Summary

This study is for people who have had a major stroke caused by a large blood clot in the brain. It tests if giving a clot-busting drug directly into the brain artery, right after doctors have partially removed the clot with a device, can lead to better recovery. Researchers will compare the drug, called tenecteplase, against a placebo in 344 participants to see if it safely helps more people regain independence.
