New stroke treatment aims to boost recovery after major clot removal

NCT ID NCT06904911

Summary

This study is testing if giving a clot-busting drug called tenecteplase directly into a brain artery can improve blood flow in the smallest vessels after a major clot has been surgically removed. It will involve 20 stroke patients who have already had the main blockage cleared. Researchers will use special imaging to measure tiny blood vessel flow before and after the drug is given, and will track patients' recovery over 90 days.
