New stroke drug aims to stop clots without causing bleeding

NCT ID NCT06813651

Summary

This study is testing whether adding an experimental drug called TBO-309 improves outcomes for stroke patients undergoing a specific procedure. The drug is given during surgery to open blocked arteries in the neck and brain, with the goal of preventing new clots from forming in the stent without increasing dangerous bleeding. Researchers will enroll 78 patients to see if this approach is safe and helps keep the artery open.
