Major stroke recovery trial seeks to reduce Long-Term disability
NCT ID NCT07241520
Summary
This large, late-stage study is testing whether a new intravenous medicine called SHPL-49 can help people recover better after an acute ischemic stroke. About 1,100 participants who have recently had a stroke will receive either the study medicine or a placebo infusion for 7 days. The main goal is to see if the treatment helps more people regain good functional independence with minimal disability 90 days after their stroke.
