Doctors test direct brain injection to fight devastating stroke
NCT ID NCT07203521
Summary
This study is testing a new treatment called RK-4 for people who have just had a severe, large stroke and cannot receive or do not respond to standard clot-busting treatments. Researchers will inject RK-4 directly into the skull bone marrow over three days to see if it is safe and can help patients recover better. They will compare the recovery of patients who get the injection to those who receive only standard care.
