Race against time: new hope for Late-Arriving stroke patients

NCT ID NCT06994975

Summary

This study is testing whether a clot-busting drug called tenecteplase can help stroke patients who arrive at the hospital more than 4.5 hours after symptoms begin. Researchers will give the drug to 890 Chinese stroke patients who are not eligible for standard clot-removal surgery and have limited brain damage on a special scan. The main goal is to see if patients recover better with fewer disabilities 90 days after treatment.
