Balloon device aims to boost success of emergency stroke surgery
NCT ID NCT07192029
Summary
This study is testing if using a special balloon catheter during emergency stroke surgery helps restore blood flow more effectively on the first try. It will involve 364 adults who have had a stroke caused by a major blockage in a specific neck artery. Researchers will compare the balloon-assisted procedure to the standard method to see which leads to better recovery.
