Late-Window stroke rescue: can a Clot-Removal procedure help when symptoms suddenly worsen?

NCT ID NCT06155032

Summary

This study is testing whether a procedure to remove a blood clot from the brain is safe and effective for people whose mild stroke symptoms suddenly get worse more than a day after the stroke began. About 272 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard medical care alone or standard care plus the clot-removal procedure. The main goal is to see if adding the procedure leads to better recovery and independence 90 days later.
