Race against time: which stroke treatment saves more brain function?
NCT ID NCT07345702
Summary
This study looks back at medical records to compare two approaches for treating severe strokes caused by a blocked artery in the brainstem. It aims to see whether a surgical procedure to remove the clot or standard medication leads to better recovery for 518 patients. The main goal is to find out which treatment helps more people regain the ability to walk and care for themselves within 90 days.
