Brain clot breakthrough? new drug combo tested to boost stroke recovery

Summary

This large study is testing if adding a clot-busting drug directly into the brain's arteries right after a mechanical clot removal procedure helps people recover better from a major stroke. It will involve 440 patients who have just had the mechanical procedure. The main goal is to see if more patients can return to independent living with little or no disability 90 days after their stroke.
