Looking back: can stroke treatment work hours later?
NCT ID NCT07419997
Summary
This study looks back at medical records to learn about stroke patients who received a standard clot-busting drug much later than the usual recommended time window. Researchers will analyze data from about 2,600 patients to see how well they recovered and if the treatment was safe when given between 4.5 and 24 hours after stroke symptoms began. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a new treatment.
