Breakthrough device aims to save brain tissue after stroke

NCT ID NCT05152524

Summary

This study is testing whether a new medical device called the Tigertriever 13 can safely and effectively remove blood clots from small arteries deep in the brain after a stroke. It compares the device against standard medication management in 168 patients who have had a stroke within the last 24 hours. The main goal is to see if the device can restore blood flow to save brain tissue and reduce disability better than medications alone.
