Summary

This study tests whether a procedure to remove blood clots from the brain can help people who have had a major stroke 24 to 72 hours earlier. About 382 adults with severe stroke symptoms will be randomly assigned to get the procedure plus standard care or standard care alone. The goal is to see if the procedure reduces disability and improves recovery.
