Time is brain: new study pushes stroke treatment window to 72 hours

Summary
This study tests whether removing a blood clot from the brain up to 72 hours after a major stroke can improve recovery. About 382 adults who had a large-vessel blockage stroke will be randomly assigned to either standard care or the clot-removal procedure. The goal is to see if the procedure reduces disability and improves neurological function.
