Zap vs. beep: finding the best way to help stroke patients swallow again

NCT ID NCT07367490

Summary

This study tested two different non-invasive therapies to help stroke patients who have trouble swallowing (dysphagia). Researchers compared a gentle electrical stimulation therapy to a biofeedback therapy that uses muscle signals. The goal was to see which method was better at improving swallowing function and safety for eating and drinking.
