Two shots better than one? new combo aims to ease Post-Stroke stiffness
NCT ID NCT07440173
Summary
This study is testing if a two-part injection treatment works better than the standard single treatment for reducing arm stiffness (spasticity) after a stroke. Researchers will compare giving a phenol injection near the shoulder plus a Botox injection in the forearm against giving Botox injections alone. The goal is to see if the combined approach reduces stiffness more effectively and might allow for a lower dose of the expensive Botox medication.
