Zap or zap? study tests two therapies for Post-Stroke shoulder pain

NCT ID NCT07423455

Summary

This study aims to find out which of two electrical therapies works better for shoulder pain and instability in people who have had a stroke. It will compare Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES), which uses small electrical pulses to make muscles contract, with EMG Biofeedback, which helps patients learn to control their own muscles. The goal is to see which method better improves shoulder stability, reduces pain, and helps with recovery for 36 stroke survivors.
