First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study uses past medical records from 4,000 heart attack survivors to create a tool that predicts their risk of having a stroke. The focus is on patients who do not have atrial fibrillation, a common cause of stroke after a heart attack. No new participants are recruited, and no treatments are tested. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk patients so they can take preventive steps in the future.
