New tool aims to spot hidden stroke risk after heart attacks

NCT ID NCT07171892

Summary

This study aims to create a tool that can predict a person's risk of having a stroke after surviving a heart attack, specifically for those who do not have the irregular heartbeat condition called atrial fibrillation. Researchers will analyze the anonymous medical records of 4,000 past patients to identify patterns and factors that lead to stroke. The goal is to help doctors in the future better identify high-risk patients so they can consider preventative measures.
