Brain scan breakthrough could pinpoint hidden stroke risk
NCT ID NCT07309705
Summary
This study aims to see if a new computer analysis of standard brain artery scans can better predict who is at high risk for another stroke. It will involve 400 adults who have already had a minor stroke or warning sign and have a narrowed brain artery. Researchers will analyze their scan images to estimate blood flow problems and track their health for one year to see if the new method predicts strokes better than just measuring how narrow the artery is.
