Summary

This study followed nearly 4,000 people with narrowing in brain arteries who had never had a stroke. Researchers used ultrasound and MRI scans to track changes in artery plaques over time. The goal was to learn which plaques are most likely to cause a stroke and to build better prediction tools. Participants received free follow-up scans and thinking tests.
