Arm training may boost balance after stroke

NCT ID NCT06086314

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding reactive arm exercises to standard rehab improves trunk control, balance, and fall risk in stroke survivors. 30 participants were split into three groups: one did fast touch-and-release arm reaches, another did slow holds, and a control group did stretches. The goal was to see if different training speeds affect recovery. All participants also received standard Bobath-based therapy.
