Can watching and mirroring movements help stroke survivors keep their arm gains?
NCT ID NCT06027125
Summary
This study checked if two low-cost rehabilitation therapies help people keep improvements in arm and hand function long after a stroke. It followed 44 adults who had a stroke 1-6 months earlier, comparing action observation therapy (watching movements) and mirror therapy (using a mirror to create visual feedback). The goal was to see if the benefits of these therapies last over time, which could make them useful additions to standard stroke recovery programs.
