New exercise combo aims to help stroke survivors walk better

NCT ID NCT07249658

Summary

This study tested whether combining two types of physical therapy—power training (fast, strong movements) and high-intensity walking practice—could improve mobility for people who had a stroke at least six months ago. Researchers worked with 60 participants to see if this combined approach helped with tasks like standing up from a chair, walking speed, balance, and daily activities. The goal was to find better rehabilitation methods to help stroke survivors move more easily and independently.
