Which stroke rehab works best? new study pits mirror therapy against cognitive training

Summary

This study compares three rehabilitation approaches for people recovering from stroke: mirror therapy, cognitive orientation to daily occupational performance (CO-OP), and conventional occupational therapy. 45 adults with subacute or chronic stroke will receive 4 weeks of therapy (5 sessions per week) combined with robotic balance training, then be followed for 3 months. The goal is to see which method best improves motor function, daily activities, and quality of life.
