Mind over movement: can where you focus your thoughts help stroke recovery?
NCT ID NCT07460804
Summary
This study aims to understand if a person's focus during physical therapy can improve movement after a stroke. Researchers are testing whether focusing on an external target (like a marker on the wall) or focusing internally on body parts (like shoulders and hips) leads to better, more balanced standing and walking. The study involves 20 people who had a stroke more than six months ago, measuring their movements with special mats and sensors.
