Brain zaps & robots: timing tested to reboot stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT06612437

Summary

This study aimed to find the best timing between two types of non-invasive brain stimulation to help improve arm and hand movement after a stroke. It combined this stimulation with standard robot-assisted arm training. Researchers tested different waiting periods between the stimulation types in 62 people who had a stroke at least six months prior, measuring changes in arm function and brain activity.
