New combo therapy aims to restore limb function in stroke survivors
NCT ID NCT07454954
First seen Mar 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding blood flow restriction training (using a cuff to lightly limit blood flow during exercise) and brain stimulation (rTMS) to standard rehab can help stroke patients with paralysis on one side move better. 69 adults who had a stroke will be split into three groups: standard rehab alone, standard rehab plus rTMS, or standard rehab plus both treatments. The main goal is to see if the combined approach improves arm and hand function after 4 weeks.
