Education program aims to cut stroke recurrence in bangladesh
NCT ID NCT05520034
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a nurse-led health education program for first-time stroke patients and their family caregivers can lower the chance of having another stroke. The program includes face-to-face sessions, phone reminders, and tools like a blood pressure machine and salt spoon. Researchers will compare the stroke recurrence rate between 432 patients who get the education and those who do not.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
health education program
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that simple education and monitoring help stroke patients avoid another stroke.
What could go wrong
This is a single-center trial in Bangladesh, so results may not apply everywhere. Education alone may not be enough to change long-term habits.
