Zap and flex: new hope for stroke Patients' stiff legs

NCT ID NCT07458750

Summary

This study is testing whether adding electrical muscle stimulation to standard physical therapy helps people recover leg movement after a stroke. Twenty-five participants who had a stroke at least six months ago will receive either standard therapy or therapy plus electrical stimulation for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in leg stiffness, range of motion, and strength to see which approach works better.
