Scientists probe hidden tissue link to stroke recovery

NCT ID NCT07107295

Summary

This study aims to understand if the thickness of a specific layer of body tissue (the thoracolumbar fascia) is connected to movement problems after a stroke. Researchers will measure this tissue with an ultrasound scan and test balance, flexibility, and independence in 70 people who had a stroke at least six months ago. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help design better future therapies, but this study itself does not test a treatment.
